Hopewell, New Jersey
Hopewell Borough
Lying at the foot of the Sourland Mountains, this town has lovely tree-lined streets, Victorian houses, and is surrounded by the scenic beauty of Hopewell Township. Not even 1 square mile in size, it was the home of John Hart, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Antique shops and a small, personal shopping district add to the ambiance.
Hopewell Township
The beauty of Hopewell Township's 60 square miles is indisputable. A farming community in the 19th Century, it is still mostly comprised of rural and semi-rural areas. The township surrounds the quaint towns of Hopewell and Pennington and includes the very historic Washington Crossing area. Recreation is plentiful at the Belle Mountain Ski Area and Washington Crossing State Park. Hopewell Township has also attracted its share of major corporate and research centers.
