Kingwood, New Jersey

Kingwood Township remains three-quarters agricultural and has the lowest population density in the county -- 93 people per square mile, according to the 1990 census. It was settled by Quakers, Presbyterians, Methodists and Baptists in cololnial times.

Kingwood is bordered by the Delaware River and a high, rocky ridge along the "missing link" of Route 29, where highway builders blasted through rock to finish the state highway from Trenton to Frenchtown.
